Stop Wearing Jeans Once You Reach This Age
There are many milestones in life that come with age, such as getting your driver’s license or booking a hotel room. But just as there are age limits for certain activities, there’s also a point where some everyday habits become more challenging, including one particularly common one—wearing jeans.
According to data from a survey conducted by UK courier company CollectPlus, which polled 2,000 shoppers about their wardrobe choices, many respondents believe that people should stop wearing jeans after the age of 53. However, the reason isn’t tied to fashion mistakes. Instead, it’s because finding jeans that fit well becomes increasingly difficult at that age.
For denim lovers, the statistics are disheartening. The survey revealed that one in 10 shoppers over 50 had to try on up to six different styles before finding a pair that fit properly. By the time people reach 53, many experience high levels of stress while shopping for jeans, with some even becoming emotional. In fact, 6% of participants admitted to crying out of frustration during their search.
Regardless of age, finding the perfect pair of jeans is often a stressful and time-consuming task. Research suggests that people spend an average of five to eight days searching for jeans, which explains why most shoppers wait at least three years before buying a new pair.
Still, if you’re determined to rock your denim well into retirement, we’re here to cheer you on!
