Pioneer Woman Sausage Gravy
This recipe for sausage gravy poured over biscuits is delightfully straightforward, yielding a dish so satisfying that your loved ones will request it time and again. Perfect for any season or day of the week, it’s a hearty breakfast that’s easy to prepare. Pair it with eggs and perhaps a side salad for a complete and filling meal.
If you prefer, you can substitute the sausage with chicken, turkey, or even beef, though it won’t be the traditional Southern-style biscuit gravy.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound breakfast sausage (mild flavor)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 cups milk
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- Biscuits, either homemade or store-bought
Instructions:
- Cook the Sausage: Crumble the sausage into a frying pan and cook until thoroughly browned. Remove the cooked sausage from the pan and set aside. Do not drain the fat from the pan.
