Nacho Cheese Beef Wrap recipe
- Prepare the Beef Filling:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic once the beef is mostly cooked. Continue cooking until the onion turns translucent.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat.
- Make the Cheese Sauce:
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Stir in the all-purpose flour and cook for about one minute.
- Gradually add the milk, whisking continuously until the mixture thickens and becomes smooth.
- Add the shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted and well combined.
- Season with paprika, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using). Keep the sauce warm.
- Assemble the Wraps:
- Warm the flour tortillas in the microwave or a dry pan.
- Place a portion of the beef filling in the center of each tortilla.
- Drizzle with nacho cheese sauce.
- Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, sliced jalapeños (if desired), and sliced green onions (if desired).
- Fold the edges of the tortilla over the filling and wrap tightly.
