Nacho Cheese Beef Wrap recipe

  1. Prepare the Beef Filling:
    • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef.
    • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic once the beef is mostly cooked. Continue cooking until the onion turns translucent.
    • Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens.
    • Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat.
  2. Make the Cheese Sauce:
    • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
    • Stir in the all-purpose flour and cook for about one minute.
    • Gradually add the milk, whisking continuously until the mixture thickens and becomes smooth.
    • Add the shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted and well combined.
    • Season with paprika, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using). Keep the sauce warm.
  3. Assemble the Wraps:
    • Warm the flour tortillas in the microwave or a dry pan.
    • Place a portion of the beef filling in the center of each tortilla.
    • Drizzle with nacho cheese sauce.
    • Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, sliced jalapeños (if desired), and sliced green onions (if desired).
    • Fold the edges of the tortilla over the filling and wrap tightly.
