Tattoo addict inks 95 percent of his body, reveals what he looked like just 5 years ago

Tattoos are a powerful form of self-expression. While some people opt for small, discreet designs, others take it to the next level, transforming large portions of their bodies into intricate works of art.

One person who has fully embraced this art form is 26-year-old Tristan Weigelt, a tattoo apprentice whose extreme body art has captured headlines. He recently shared photos of what he looked like before starting his tattoo journey, and the transformation is nothing short of astounding.

Weigelt’s tattoo adventure began when he was 20 years old, and now 95 percent of his body is covered in ink. Reflecting on his past appearance, he told The Daily Star, “It’s kind of weird looking at myself without all the tattoos. But funnily enough, I still feel exactly the same as before on the inside.”

Of all the tattoos he’s gotten, Weigelt admits that the ones on his face and head were by far the most painful. “It was like being scraped with a metal brush,” he explained, describing the six full-day sessions that each lasted five to six hours. On a pain scale, he rated the experience as an eight out of ten.

Unlike many who get tattoos with deep personal meanings, Weigelt said there’s no hidden significance behind his designs. After five years and approximately $50,000 spent on body art, his tattoos are more about aesthetic expression than symbolism.

For anyone considering getting inked, Weigelt offers simple advice: “Get what you love and what makes sense to you. I see so many people worried about a certain tattoo fitting them or not being their style. If you like it—then get it.”

His transformation is undeniably striking. Would you ever consider covering your body in tattoos? It’s a bold choice, and I’m not sure I could do it!
