Please pray for Kurt Russell, What happened to him is horrific

Kurt Vogel Russell, an iconic American actor, began his film career at the tender age of 12 in a western and later earned a Golden Globe nomination in 1983 for his supporting role in Mike Nichols’ Silkwood. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, Kurt was raised in an artistic household—his father, Bing, was an accomplished artist, while his mother, Louise Julia Russell, was a talented ballet dancer. Over the decades, Kurt has become synonymous with rugged charm and timeless talent, gracing screens in numerous memorable roles, including his recent performance in The Hateful Eight.
Despite his celebrated career, recent reports have cast a shadow over his health. According to The Globe, Kurt is reportedly suffering from Peutz-Jeghers Syndrome (PJS), a condition that not only increases the risk of colon cancer but has also led to the development of unsightly, potentially dangerous ulcers under his lower lip. The condition, which is said to put affected individuals at a lifetime cancer risk of up to 93%, has raised serious concerns among medical professionals. Dr. Stuart Fischer, who is not directly involved in Kurt’s care, described the lesions as “precancerous,” warning that they could become aggressive and pose a significant health threat if not treated promptly and effectively.
Adding to the concern, immunologist Dr. Gabe Mirkin, a resident of Maryland, has urged that Kurt undergo immediate testing, suspecting that these lesions are indeed linked to PJS. Dr. Mirkin emphasized the need for swift medical intervention and counseling, noting that the situation demands urgent attention. Amid these unsettling health reports, The Globe has also highlighted personal matters, reporting that Kurt recently found himself in a public dispute with his longtime partner, Goldie Hawn, who is 71 years old.
In addition to these challenges, Kurt was slated to be honored in Oklahoma City’s Hall of Great Western Performers this October, an accolade that would have added another prestigious milestone to his storied career. Although his name is already immortalized on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, this induction held special significance. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected medical issue, Kurt was forced to cancel his attendance. In a recent statement, he explained that he urgently requires surgery—a procedure that his doctor confirmed was necessary and could not be postponed. Specifically, he mentioned that he is scheduled to undergo hip replacement surgery, with his doctors recommending the operation be carried out in September. Despite his initial hope to delay the surgery, Kurt acknowledged that he must prioritize his health, and he expressed his gratitude that the museum decided to postpone his honor until 2022, allowing him to accept the award in person when he has recovered.
Kurt’s situation has understandably sparked concern among his fans and colleagues alike. As we applaud his induction into the Hall of Great Western Performers and celebrate his enduring contributions to film, we also stand with him during this challenging period. Our thoughts are with him as he prepares for his upcoming treatment and surgery, and we all hope for a swift recovery. His strength, both on-screen and off, continues to inspire, and we trust that this formidable actor will once again overcome adversity, returning to the screen and to our hearts with renewed vigor.
