Amid these unsettling health reports, The Globe has also highlighted personal matters, reporting that Kurt recently found himself in a public dispute with his longtime partner, Goldie Hawn, who is 71 years old.
In addition to these challenges, Kurt was slated to be honored in Oklahoma City’s Hall of Great Western Performers this October, an accolade that would have added another prestigious milestone to his storied career. Although his name is already immortalized on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, this induction held special significance. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected medical issue, Kurt was forced to cancel his attendance. In a recent statement, he explained that he urgently requires surgery—a procedure that his doctor confirmed was necessary and could not be postponed. Specifically, he mentioned that he is scheduled to undergo hip replacement surgery, with his doctors recommending the operation be carried out in September. Despite his initial hope to delay the surgery, Kurt acknowledged that he must prioritize his health, and he expressed his gratitude that the museum decided to postpone his honor until 2022, allowing him to accept the award in person when he has recovered.
