A maternity influencer who helped tens of thousands of moms has died, just days after having emergency surgery.

With more than 70,000 followers on Instagram, she passed away in Brazil on Wednesday at the age of thirty-four. The official cause of her death is still unknown, but friends say she had an ectopic pregnancy last week.

In a recent post, she asked her fans to pray for her recovery.

An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg implants itself outside the womb, usually in one of the Fallopian tubes. If an egg gets stuck in one of the tubes, the pregnancy cannot proceed, and the egg must be removed surgically.

Taina was a trained nurse who shared breastfeeding tips on her popular Instagram account, amormama. She leaves behind a husband and a five-year-old daughter.

She was laid to rest on Thursday in Parnamirim, located in the northeast of Brazil. In a recent post, Taina asked her fans to pray for her as she recuperated, saying, “Pray for my healing. I need to take care of myself now. But I hope to be able to take care of you soon.”

Despite her not recovering, people continue to pay tribute to the beloved maternity mentor. “God has called our Tai home,” the post announcing her death stated. “Wife, mom, daughter, friend, business owner, and wife.” She was described as a woman of deep faith, timeless values, and boundless kindness.

“She touched many people’s lives. Her eyes were like the sea; they saw beyond and were filled with compassion. Her bright smile, warm embrace, and love will always be the best things we remember about her.”

Fans praised her for her impact on many families, with one person recalling, “I asked you last week: do you know how many families you’ve helped? And you said, ‘I’ve lost track, but it’s over 2,000!’ Your heart wasn’t in the numbers; it was in the commitment! We saw how much love and commitment they had!”
