BAKED POTATO ROUNDS TOPPED WITH CHEESE

A Delicious Appetizer: Baked Potato Rounds Topped with Cheese

Tossed with melted cheese and fresh herbs, these appetizer or side dish rounds made of perfectly cooked potatoes are simple yet very tasty. Perfect for parties or as a side dish, these potato rounds are a cheesy, crispy delight that will have everyone reaching for more.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes: 6 large, peeled and sliced into half-inch rounds
  • Olive oil: 2 teaspoons
  • Sea salt: 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Onion powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika: 1/2 teaspoon
For the Drizzles:
  • Cheese: 1/2 cup grated, preferably cheddar, mozzarella, or a combination of the two
  • Fresh parsley: 2 teaspoons, chopped
  • Fresh chives: 2 tablespoons, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Turn on the Oven and Prepare a Baking Sheet:
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly coat it with olive oil to prevent sticking.
2. Peel and Chop the Potatoes:
  • Peel the potatoes and slice them into rounds that are about half an inch thick.
  • Place the potato rounds in a large bowl and drizzle them with olive oil. Sprinkle evenly with sea salt, black pepper, onion powder, and paprika. Toss to coat the potatoes thoroughly with the seasonings.
3. Spread Out the Potato Rounds on the Baking Sheet:
  • Arrange the seasoned potato rounds in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Ensure they do not overlap to promote even cooking.
