OOEY GOOEY BARS

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Prepare the Crust:
    • In a medium bowl, combine the dry cake mix, melted butter, and egg. Mix until smooth and well combined.
    • Pat and press the dough evenly over the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking pan. Set aside.
  3. Make the Gooey Layer:
    • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
    • Add the beaten eggs and continue to beat for a minute or two until smooth.
    • Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until well combined and smooth.
  4. Assemble and Bake:
    • Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the baking pan.
    • Bake at 350 degrees F for about 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden and the center is set but still slightly gooey. Do not over bake.
  5. Cool and Serve:
    • Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
