OOEY GOOEY BARS
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Prepare the Crust:
- In a medium bowl, combine the dry cake mix, melted butter, and egg. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Pat and press the dough evenly over the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking pan. Set aside.
- Make the Gooey Layer:
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Add the beaten eggs and continue to beat for a minute or two until smooth.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until well combined and smooth.
- Assemble and Bake:
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the baking pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for about 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden and the center is set but still slightly gooey. Do not over bake.
- Cool and Serve:
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
