Actor Treat Williams tragically passed away following a devastating motorcycle accident, prompting an outpouring of tributes from celebrities who took to social media to express their condolences to his family.

On Monday, June 13, his agent Barry McPherson confirmed in a statement that the 71-year-old actor succumbed to injuries from the accident.

John Travolta was among the first to honor Williams, reminiscing about their early days on Broadway in Grease and Over Here!
“Treat Williams and I started our journey together in NYC, performing in two Broadway shows, Grease and Over Here!” Travolta wrote. “Treat, I’m so sorry. My thoughts are with you and your family. We will miss you. Love, John.”

Catherine Zeta-Jones, who co-starred with Williams in the 1996 film The Phantom, shared a still from the movie with a heartfelt caption: “R.I.P. Dearest Treat Williams.”

Kim Cattrall, who worked with Williams in the 1999 television movie 36 Hours to Die, expressed her shock on Twitter:
“I’m in shock! Goodbye, dear Treat. My condolences to Pam, Gille, Ellie, and the family. A wonderful friend and actor.”
