Easy Cabbage Fat-Burning Soup
My husband and I never had the chance to take a honeymoon when we got married over 20 years ago. Unlike many of our friends who enjoyed extravagant tropical trips, we didn’t have the means for such luxuries. While I had always dreamed of a honeymoon, it seemed so far out of reach that I eventually forgot about it. However, after our kids moved out of the house, it dawned on me that we could finally have our honeymoon now!
Excited about the idea, my husband and I began planning. Part of my preparation included wanting to look and feel fantastic for this long-awaited vacation. I had heard about a cabbage soup diet that could help with weight loss, so I decided to give it a try.
I found the recipe on All Recipes and made a large batch of it. For two weeks leading up to our departure, my husband and I ate only this soup. By the time we left, we had both lost a significant amount of weight and felt amazing. The trip turned out to be the best of my life.
We enjoyed it so much that we promised to go back again for our 30th anniversary. I can’t wait for that day to come!
Cabbage Fat-Burning Soup Recipe
This recipe yields 15 servings and takes a total of 45 minutes to prepare. It’s a delicious and effective way to shed some pounds and feel great.
Ingredients:
- 5 carrots, chopped
- 3 onions, chopped
- 2 (16 ounce) cans whole peeled tomatoes, with liquid
- 1 large head cabbage, chopped
- 1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
- 1 (15 ounce) can cut green beans, drained
- 2 quarts tomato juice
- 2 green bell peppers, diced
- 10 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 (14 ounce) can beef broth
