Lemon Cream Cheese Bread

- For the cream cheese swirl: In a small bowl, mix together softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spoon about half of the cream cheese mixture on top of the batter. Use a knife to swirl the cream cheese mixture into the batter.
- Top with the remaining batter, then spoon the remaining cream cheese mixture on top. Swirl again with a knife to create a marbled effect.
- Bake the bread for 65-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If the top starts to brown too quickly, cover loosely with foil during the last 20-30 minutes of baking.
- Cool the bread in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing. This allows the cream cheese swirl to set.
