Heaven On Earth Cake

- Prepare the Cake:
- Cut the angel food cake into cubes and set aside.
- Make the Pudding Mixture:
- In a bowl, whisk together the pudding mix, milk, sour cream (or Greek yogurt), and vanilla extract until smooth. Set aside.
- Assemble the Layers:
- In a 13×9-inch baking dish, place half of the cake cubes evenly across the bottom.
- Spoon half of the cherry pie filling over the cake cubes.
- Repeat with another layer of cake cubes.
- Add Pudding Layer:
- Pour the pudding mixture over the top of the cake cubes, spreading it evenly.
- Top with Cool Whip:
- Spoon the Cool Whip over the pudding layer and spread it evenly.
- Add the remaining cherry pie filling on top.
- Chill:
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours, or until set.
- Serve:
- Sprinkle roasted almond slices on top just before serving, if desired.
